LK 19:11-28
In the first reading to Isaiah, the Lord says, “my salvation is about to come.” During this season of Advent, do what is right and just in preparation for Jesus’ arrival at Christmas. Then, it will be you who is considered blessed in the eyes of God, and you will have fulfillment in Him.
In the Gospel, Jesus addresses the Jews and their praise to John’s testimonies. However, Jesus claims that he has testimony “greater than John” and different than the prophets of the Old Testament. During these final weeks of Advent, remember that the mercy of Christ introduced in the manger is unlike anything we have ever encountered; therefore, Christ’s birth is truly special and one to patiently await.
