Matthew 9: 27-31
The gospel portrays to us that true faith is linked with trust and obedience. The two blind men cried out to Jesus to have mercy on their spiritual and physical blindness. There were healed by God’s mercy and their own faith in Jesus. There are many blind spots in our lives in which we fail to recognize what God’s mercy and power can do to heal these spots. Jesus wants us to live in the expectation that He will bring us to the fullness of His kingdom. In the gospel, Jesus brings God’s mercy to those who genuinely seek it. We often become lackadaisical in our faith life, but in this season we are especially invited to rekindle our faith.
