IS 40: 1-11
In the desert the Israelites are called to prepare the way of God. He is the shepherd, and the Israelites are his sheep. They traverse through the rugged mountains and broad valleys to reveal His glory. They are called to herald the good news that the Lord has come to them with power and love. In modern times it is often difficult to prepare the way of God in our busy schedules. People are too consumed with highs and lows of daily life that they rarely take time to acknowledge Christ’s presence. Through the peaks and valleys of life, God is always present and able to lend us strength and encouragement. The tides of life may always change, but our faith should always remain strong- “Though the grass withers and the flower wilts, the word of God stands forever”.
