The Kellenberg Memorial High School Boys Basketball Program was recently honored by the Nassau County Basketball Officials Organization, District 41 with the James Greene Sportsmanship Award. This award, presented to only two programs per year is the result of recognition for the programs exemplary conduct on the court during the 2012 – 2013 season.
The teams have proven through their actions that the old saying, “It’s not whether you win or lose it’s how you play the game,” is indeed true. The program has established a reputation for competiveness, fair play, and sportsmanship throughout the NSCHSAA as well as among public schools in the region. The Marianist Community, Administration, Faculty and Staff congratulate the program for extending our COR values onto the basketball court.
