The Kellenberg Memorial Girl’s Cross Country team once again showed their commitment to excellence is not just in running, but in service towards those in need.
Raising and donating over one thousand dollars, the team sent the money to Cardinal Newman High School, a Catholic High School in Santa Rosa, California, which was devastated by the recent wildfires. The team continues to answer the mission of Kellenberg to put “community and service over self.”
Spearheaded by captains Julia Bryant, Maggie Cannatella, Emma Dougherty, Grace Browne, Bridget Lapham, and sophomore Nicole Aponte, the team felt compelled to do something for students who normally enjoy a typical Catholic High School day experience, and have been prevented from that due to this horrifying natural disaster. Terri Derr, The Director of Advancement at Cardinal Newman, said in an appreciative thank you, “the Kellenberg Girls are beautiful inside and out.”
