Senior Deirdre Lewin, in her first race back in one month, anchored the Kellenberg 3200 meter relay team to first place and a new meet record of 9:29.49, breaking the five-year-old meet record previously held by Ward Melville High School. Lewin teamed up with sophomores Grace Browne and Nora Bennett, both running to their personal bests, and younger freshman sister Maureen who had earlier run to a second-place finish in the open 800.
Earlier, senior Gabby Schreib broke Odrine Belot’s five-year-old school record in the 400 intermediate hurdles with her second place finish, with teammate Kierstan Côte finishing in an impressive fourth. The 4×400 relay team of Côte, Tori Duignan, Gabby Bussereth, and Sarah Newman finished second, and sophomore Gillian Blackwood took second in the high jump with a leap of five feet.
