Members of Latin School CROSS spent Monday afternoon, upon the conclusion of trimester exams, participating in an annual CROSS activity: Christmas caroling at The Sunrise Assisted Living Residence. After a brief “rehearsal”, students enjoyed a pizza lunch and then donned their holiday hats and walked to The Sunrise. They sang in the main lobby initially and then headed to the Reflections area (for residents who are memory-impaired). Residents (and visitors) said that they enjoyed the students’ singing. Many residents sang or hummed along and there were many smiling faces all around! Upon returning to school, students enjoyed some great holiday cookies and hot chocolate before heading home for the Christmas vacation. Latin School CROSS members certainly hoped to put into action the saying, “It is better to give than to receive” by sharing their time (before a much-anticipated vacation) to spread some holiday cheer! Many thanks to all who helped make this event a success! Merry Christmas from Latin School CROSS!
