Congratulations to several of our Latin School students in grades seven and eight who were chosen as finalists and second place winners in the Respect Life Contest 2014. Depicting the theme, “Open your hearts to life!” in their art designs and essays, the following students won recognition and awards at the youth award ceremony in March, held at St. John the Baptist High School. They were Catherine Dotzler in grade 7, Ismenia Ginebra in grade 8, Kimberly Lores in grade 8, and Katherine Zimmon in grade 8. Their message to promote awareness and education in preserving a life and enforcing their Catholic beliefs and traditions in today’s society was clearly demonstrated in their drawings and writings. For their accomplishments and participation, the students were awarded a certificate and a flash drive and left the event with a memorable experience.
