Luke 5:27-32
In this gospel reading, Jesus tells Levi to come with him. Levi was a
tax collector which was a job looked down upon in society. Then when
Levi throws a banquet for Jesus, people ask why he eats and drinks
with sinners. In reply, Jesus says he has not come to save the
righteous but to save the sinners. Jesus is there to save all of us
from our sins. He does not just save the righteous but everyone who
wants to be saved. No matter how much of a sinner you are, you can be
forgiven.
