Lenten Prayer Reflection by Julia Lafferty

Mar 15 2015

JN 3:14-41
The Gospel from March 15th talks about how Jesus is the light of the world and how men shy away from this light, catapulting them directly into darkness. We are supposed to raise Jesus up for everyone to see and revere. In response, people are supposed to follow Him and the examples He has presented to us. God gave us His only son in order for us to be saved and to be able to attain eternal life.
From this Gospel, it is evident that man is meant to shine in the light of Christ. Any man who does wicked things and hates this light, is hiding God from the world. Therefore it is man’s job to do good deeds in order for God’s love to be obvious to the rest of the world.
