Lenten Prayer Reflection by Tiffany Mayas

IS 65:17-21
In this reading the Lord tells us the meaning of forgiveness. For many people the path to forgiveness can be a difficult one, filled with anger and resentment. Instead we are told to forgive and forget, and to not harbor any anger against those who have wronged us. God created the world to be a joyful place, and his will can only be done if we learn to forgive. Only positive things can come for making amends. If Jesus could forgive those who persecuted him, why can’t we learn to do the same? Lent is the perfect time to forgive and seek forgiveness.
