GN 2:7-9; 3:1-7
Without God we are lost. Without God, our existence is impossible. God, our creator, made man out of the clay of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. God then planted a garden in Eden and placed the man there. Why was Man so different from the other animals? The answer is simple, God made man so that he would have someone to love as well as love him back. God made each and every one of us in his likeness and image!
A major part of being human is having to deal with temptation. Constantly we fall into temptation for our own selfish desires and we tend to stray away from God similar to how Adam and Eve did. We all know the story, Adam and Eve are tempted into eating from the tree of knowledge. Perhaps the most convincing thing the serpent says to convince Eve is “God knows that the moment you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods…” Some may say that it was Eve’s fault or that it was the serpents fault but the truth is, Adam didn’t stop Eve, both Adam and Eve fell into the temptation of curiosity. Now after Adam and Eve’s great sin, God did not leave them! God loves mankind so much that he sent them out of the Garden of Eden and into the world so that one day they can be saved and live with God eternally in Heaven.
