Sophomore Camryn Beckford ran to a scintillating clocking of 41.44 in winning the Sophomore 300 meter race at the multi-State 64th annual Bishop Loughlin indoor track and field meet. Beckford later split a sub 59 Second 400-meter leg in anchoring the 4×400 Relay of herself, Gabby Bussereth, Tori Duignan, and Chrissy Foster. Their time of 4:06 leads the CHSAA this year. Gillian Blackwood advanced to the finals in her specialty, the high hurdles. Junior Maya Richardson has “hit her stride” in running to her personal best, medaling in the 1000 meters, with Nora Bennett right behind her on time. Shot putters Sabiana Jules and Sam Bendig responded to the tough competition by throwing their lifetime bests. Underclassmen Andrea McPherson, Grace Massillon, Madison Scott, and Catherine Cooke all ran to impressive efforts.
