32nd Annual Communion Breakfast

March, 2019

Dear Kellenberg Memorial Families,

“God always knocks at the door of hearts. He likes to do this. It comes from His heart. But, do you know what He likes best? To knock on the doors of families and find families that are united, to find families that love each other, to find the families that bring up their children and educate them and help them to keep going forward and that create a society of goodness, of truth, and of beauty.”
Pope Francis

Keeping in mind these words of Pope Francis about the presence of God in the family, we invite you and your family to the Thirty-Second Annual Communion Breakfast at Kellenberg Memorial High School. The Communion Breakfast is one of our finest traditions. It is one of the outstanding occasions of the school year when parents, students, and teachers can gather as a school community and share in faith, friendship, and a meal. It is precisely this common faith that unites us in “One Heart and One Mind.”

For students enrolled in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9:

The Communion Breakfast will be celebrated on Sunday, April 7, 2019, for students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9. Our speaker for this Communion Breakfast will be Mrs. Patti Ann McDonald and Latin School Alumnus, Sgt. Conor McDonald. They will speak on the life and legacy of their husband and father, Detective Steven McDonald. I hope you can join us on this special day. Please send in your reservations promptly. Reservations must be in by Monday, April 1, 2019. A family that has children in the upper grades may select either the April 7th Communion Breakfast or the April 14th Communion Breakfast.

Her youngest child, Catherine Violet, was a victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
