IS 41:13-20
Chapter 41 in the Book of Isaiah is about God’s followers struggling to keep faith after the war trauma they experienced. God compares Israel to a maggot and Jacob to a worm. He tells His followers to “Fear not, I will help you.” God gives His followers hope by telling them that He will provide food, water, and other necessities for survival. He will turn dry ground into springs of water, plant in the desert, and open up rivers. By doing this, God will prove His power and loyalty to His followers. This is His way of grasping our hand and leading us out of danger. This is a very literal representation of how much God really is there for us. As long as we have faith and do our best He will not let us starve, physically and metaphorically in this case. God will always be there for us; we just have to be willing to accept Him and have faith in Him.
