Lk 10:21-24
The gospel of Luke has a central theme of the difference between knowing Jesus, and knowing about Jesus. Luke expresses the importance of our salvation and how it could only come about through the hands of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our only direct link to God because he is the Son and no one knows the Father except the Son. We are called to give Jesus thanks for making things like this apparent to us, for only the Blessed are who see what we are granted the gift to see. Once we live out the ways of God we see and hear in Jesus, we can truly receive salvation. We learn from this gospel that in order to receive God’s grace we must first know who His Son truly is.
