MT 11:16-19
In this Gospel, Jesus is talking to the crowds about people’s high expectations, which are not always met. As John came in without eating or drinking, he was thought to he possessed by a demon. As Jesus came in both eating and drinking, he was thought to be a drunkard and a friend of tax collectors sinners. And it is true that Jesus is a friend of tax collectors and sinners. Jesus is a friend to everybody, as he loves all of us. Jesus also understands that nobody is perfect, and he loves us all for who we are.
