Gospel reading-Matthew 11:16-19
This story shows us that people are not always going to like what you do. They did not approve of John the Baptist because he did not drink or eat gluttonously like the other people of his time. The people also did not approve of Jesus because he drank and ate with the people. This shows us that people judge too quickly and they always try to find the negatives in people. It shows us to always do what we think is right because people will always say something about it either way. Jesus calls us to do what we believe in our hearts and minds and not to do what society or other people say we should. We have our own free will and conscience to do what is right even if it is not the popular thing to do.
