2013 Advent Reflection by Katelyn Barrett

Mt 11:2-11
This Gospel reading tells about John the Baptist in prison. While in Prison, John is corrupted with works of Christ that are not necessarily true. The disciples go to Jesus to determine if this information is accurate. They ask Jesus “Are you the one who is to come or should we look for another?” Sometimes in life it is hard to know what is the truth when our minds are cluttered with so many distractions. We need to find truth within ourselves and our beliefs to grow as Catholics. By following your heart and mind and by praying to God, it will be easier to follow Jesus’ teachings.
