Over the past few months, the stage crew has been meeting virtually. This year, instead of building a show set, they were challenged to build some component of a nativity, whether it be a full set or even a manger for their family’s existing nativity. They were encouraged to be as creative as possible. “I am so proud of them, and it is evident how much these students enjoy researching the projects, designing their own work, and building,” says stage crew director, Mrs. Mary Beth (Cotty) Farrell ’05, “Many of the students said their favorite part was working with a family member, showing them a skill they are passionate about and learning from them as well.”
Arianna Torres worked with her grandfather to build a stable for her grandmother’s nativity set. She designed the nativity herself, and built it from materials they found around the house.
Josie Rizzuto made several of these sets and is giving them to family members for Christmas.
Molly McGoldrick and Ciara Atkin’s is proudly displayed on the McGoldrick mantle.
Grace and Nicole Wilson even made the adjoining building to the stable–they should keep going and get a whole village!
