Mt 18: 21-35
In this gospel, the lesson learned is that we should treat others as we want to be treated. When the man asks for Jesus’ forgiveness, he replies that he will. The master then had a servant. The servant owed him money but he was poor and needed time to pay his debt. The master would not succumb to him so he put him in prison and made the servant feel miserable. When Jesus confronts him he says “Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant,
as I had pity on you?” The Lord asks us to always do what is right, to be patient and to love one another. Next time you are put in the situation, ask yourself what would Jesus do & what would you want to be done to you.
