MT 26: 14-25
In Matthew’s Gospel, we recall the story of Jesus’ betrayer, Judas Iscariot. At the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Jesus remarks that one of the twelve will betray him. One by one, each one them start saying, “Surely it is not I, Lord?” Even Judas, the betrayer, says, “Surely it is not I, Lord?” Often times when we get stuck between choosing God or something else, we choose the other thing. We tend to play ourselves, thinking that we are simply just too busy for God and that we are not betraying him. It can be hard to always choose God, but it something we must try really hard to do. This Lent try and put God on the top of your list. You may find that choosing Him is better than you thought.
