Lenten Prayer Reflection by Gianfranco Stacconi

John 11:1-45
This long and powerful gospel expresses many emotions such as sadness and happiness. This is the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead in his tomb. Lazarus was very ill and his sisters, Mary and Martha, had faith that Jesus could heal him. His relates back to me because when my Grandpa was very ill in the hospital I thought that God would save him. When he passed away I still stayed strong with God because I knew that He would send my grandpa to heaven. Reading this passage now makes me realize that Jesus’ raising Lazarus from the dead is like Him sending my grandpa to heaven. They were both put in a better place.
