JN 12:1-11
In this gospel, Mary is washing the feet of Jesus with costly perfumed oil. Judas however criticizes her for giving it to the poor instead of selling it. The attitude of Judas is a complete contrast to the love that is in Mary’s heart. In reality, we must not let others discourage us from loving Jesus and doing what is right.
Jesus still loved Judas, who would soon betray him, even though he didn’t show care for the poor. In comparison, Jesus is always loving and welcoming of us. Despite how far we may fall from grace, he is always forgiving and wants to have a relationship with each of us.
