Luke 1:26-38
During this Lenten season, the Gospel Luke 1:26-38 helps us to refocus our priorities towards the Lord. Mary is the perfect example for us to follow because she puts all of her faith in God. In this Gospel, Mary is visited by the angel Gabriel who tells her that she will give birth to a son and name him Jesus. Mary asks how this can be possible and Gabriel explains that the Holy Spirit will come upon her. This Gospel reminds us to step back during this Lent and really engage your faith and reason just as Mary did. With God anything is possible and we should remain open minded in the weeks leading to Easter in order to be fully engaged in our faith.
