DN 9:4B-10
In this reading, Daniel speaks of how we continuously commit sins and yet God shows us mercy. We repeatedly perform shameful acts against God and speak ill of God, but with his infinite mercy, He forgives us of our wrongs. Forgiveness is not only limited to God. We as Catholics, must learn from God and imitate His ability to forgive. I believe that forgiveness is not only an essential component to the our catholic faith, but also a very difficult act that we are called upon to do. I also believe that forgiveness makes one stronger. The burden someone carries can be lifted due to the act of forgiveness, because with forgiveness comes a great freedom.
