JN 13:21-33, 36-38
This gospel is from the last supper. It is the story of Judas’ betrayal and Simon Peter’s denial. This gospel is telling us that God knows everything and there is no way around that. When Jesus says to Simon Peter, “”Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, though you will follow later” he is talking about how he is going to Heaven and the rest will follow Him to paradise when it is their time. Although Simon says he will die for Jesus, Jesus knows he will deny him three times before morning, and that is another example of God knowing everything before it even happens. This Gospel shows that even the ones we love can betray us.
