Senior, Megan Schiesser
Congratulations to Megan Schiesser ’16, who was recently the recipient of the Award of Excellence from the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists.
Megan spent time over the summer at University of Massachusetts Lowell with the academy, which focussed on the leading studies in the field of bio-medicine and bio-engineering. Megan hopes to go on to study genetics after graduation.
At Kellenberg, Megan is a member of the varsity golf and cross country teams, as well as a member of SMART and Catholic League.
From the Academy’s website: The National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists was chartered as a nonpartisan, taxpaying institution to help address this crisis by working to identify, encourage and mentor students who wish to devote their lives to the service of humanity as physicians, medical scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians.
The National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists was founded on the belief that we must identify prospective medical talent at the earliest possible age and help these students acquire the necessary experience and skills to take them to the doorstep of this vital career.
