On Saturday, May 16, seventh grader Victor Louie represented the Brother Joseph C. Fox Latin School in the annual Spelling Bee held at the Lutheran Church of the Epiphany in Hempstead. Fourteen contestants from various local schools battled through twenty-five rounds of challenging words such as goliath, edification, ignominious, and loquacious. Victor Louie was the runner-up winner and awarded a certificate and two trophies for the top seventh grade speller and second overall winner. Congratulations to Victor for his spelling achievements and participation in this competition.
