The KMHS Softball Program brings a legacy of success and tradition. The Varsity team at KMHS has been ranked in the top 25 of "AA" High School Softball teams in NYS for 10 of the past 11 seasons. The program boasts 5 NSCHSGAA League Titles and 3 NYS Catholic League Championships. The KMHS Softball Camp is led by a long established coaching staff with the Head Coach, Mr. Ken Conrade. The assistant coaches and staff are all former college players, current college players and / or current players in the high school program. The camp seeks to develop both the physical and mental skills of the players by focusing on skill specifics in offense, defense and baserunning. An emphasis is placed on proper throwing and receiving mechanics since they are the foundations of the game. Players will also receive clear instruction on why certain methods are preferred over others, and how they can best continue to improve their game. Some pitching and catching development are also emphasized during the camp. Game play is also an aspect of the camp affording players the opportunity to apply their skills and learn from the outcomes found in competition. Players who attend the camp should have a bat, glove and helmet for proper participation.
