Pope St. John Paul II once wisely stated, “The future starts today, not tomorrow.”

In order to ensure that countless generations of Firebirds receive an equally innovative Catholic, liberal arts education rooted in the Marianist tradition in the future, the administration of Kellenberg Memorial is taking bold steps today

Office of Advancement

Since 1987, Kellenberg Memorial High School has been providing an unparalleled, Catholic education of the heart and mind in the Marianist tradition. We consistently hear gratifying feedback from our alumni community that a Kellenberg Memorial education is an important stepping stone which readies students for not only the academic rigors of higher education, but also provides them with a strong spiritual foundation, fully developing their relationships with Jesus and the broader Catholic community.

The Kellenberg Memorial community is a uniquely generous one which constantly gives freely of time, talent, and treasure.  One of the most effective ways of supporting our mission is making a gift to the Shepherd’s Fund, which is comprised of annual unrestricted funds that afford our school the opportunity to strengthen a variety of initiatives that directly affect all of our programs each day. Your support of the Shepherd’s Fund plays an important role in maintaining Kellenberg Memorial’s modest annual tuition, which is among the lowest on Long Island.

General Bequest

Through a provision in your written and executed will, you can make a gift in the form of cash, securities, real estate, or personal property. There are many types of bequests. Choose the one that best fits your needs and intentions.

Retirement Accounts

Naming Kellenberg Memorial High School as the beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan asset such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, Keogh, profit-sharing pension plan, or other donor-advised funds, will accomplish a charitable goal while realizing significant tax savings.

Charitable Gift Annuity

You can turn underperforming assets (stock, cash in a savings account, CDs, savings bonds, etc.) into a gift to Kellenberg Memorial that provides income to you. Your Charitable Gift Annuity will give you quarterly, fixed payments for life and tax benefits, too.

Appreciated Stock

When you donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares instead of cash, you’ll receive charitable deductions at full, fair market value while reducing capital gains impact.

Make a Charitable IRA Rollover

If you’re 70 ½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to Kellenberg Memorial. While there is no charitable deduction for a rollover gift, you do avoid the income tax on the donated portion of your required minimum distribution.

Real Estate and Other Valuables

Like stock, the fair market value of gifts of appreciated assets such as real estate, artwork, and other well-curated collections, can be deducted from your income tax today and reduce your estate taxes in the future.
