We are pleased to announce that Kellenberg Memorial will be offering Driver's Education for students this summer. Through our partnership with the East Meadow Driving School, Kellenberg Memorial will host several Driver's Education courses beginning on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 and running through August 15, 2025. Courses will be run at various times from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. and students will attend classes up to three days a week. Students are permitted to miss and make up no more than 3 sessions, so with vacations planned and other summer events, we realize some students will not be able to take Driver's Education this summer.
Given the high demand for Driver's Education, opportunities will be on a first-come, first-served basis. We expect there will be about 60 spots. For those interested in submitting a registration form for Driver's Education, application forms will become available at Mr. Cartier's Office on Wednesday morning, April 2nd, at 7:00 a.m. (Applications will not be available before that time). Students may pick up an application form before or after school. Applications must be submitted to Mr. Cartier's office no later than April 11, 2025. The cost of the program is $850.00.
Registration will be open to any Kellenberg Memorial student who is 16 years of age or over and who has a New York State Learner's Permit (MV-100). Only Kellenberg students may register.
Should this summer program be successful, we hope to continue Driver's Education courses this fall to allow more students to register for Driver's Education through Kellenberg Memorial.
Please feel free to reach out to Mr. Cartier at (516) 292-0200 x205 or MrCartier@kellenberg.org with any questions.
