High School Jazz Band
The Jazz Band is open to strong instrumentalists who wish to have a second performance opportunity. Auditions are open to all high school students. Performances include the spring Jazz Night concert as well as various school and community functions. The Jazz Band performs a wide variety of music from the big bands of the forties to current music. This includes Be-bop, Swing, Funk, Latin, Big Band, Blues, Rock and several others. Auditions are held in September and the group rehearses on Monday afternoons. Interested students should speak with Mr. Vegas.
Latin School Jazz Band
The Latin School Jazz Band is an advanced performance group that is open to all Latin School students. The group performs pieces in the Jazz, Big Band, Funk, Swing, and Be-bop style. Auditions for the group are held in September and the group rehearses on Friday afternoons. Performances include the spring Jazz Night concert as well as various school and community functions. Interested students should speak with Mr. Abrams.
