Kellenberg’s Robotics Club brought two teams this year to compete at LFNY in Manhattan, Saturday, January 20th. Robert Maina ’19, Paul Mirabile ’21, Joseph Casey ’21, James Sprizzo ’21, Evan Carroll ’21, Mason Carpentier ’21, and Delia Fallon ’24 and Sydney Roy ’24 represented the entire club.
The club has been working on these two robots since September and resulted in both teams making the semifinal matches. This marks the first time in the club’s brief history that they made it to the playoff round. Out of the 20 teams from all over New York, James Sprizzo and Evan Carroll’s robot ended the qualification matches in an amazing 4th place. Robert Maina and Paul Mirabile’s robot ended qualification matches in a respectable 13th place. The coaches could not be prouder of the hard work the students put into their robot.
