“Give, and it will be given to you.” – Luke 6:38
Laughter and smiles filled the hallways of the Queen of Peace Residence when juniors and seniors from Kellenberg Memorial came to visit this Halloween 2017. The students dressed up in fantastic costumes, ranging from a scarecrow to Indiana Jones, and went to every room on every floor “reverse trick or treating,” aka giving candy to the residents. Complete with singing songs and socializing, the students and the residents both enjoyed an atmosphere of love and hope.
Brendan Connelly ’18 reflected, “I’m a senior, and I’ve been to Queen of Peace a few times. I’ve learned that doing small things like talking to the residents at Queen of Peace really makes their day, so I’m thankful that I can help out in any way that I can to improve the lives of others around me.”
