WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Quinnipiac baseball junior Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Conn.) and sophomore Mike Palladino (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Second Team, as announced as the MAAC Awards Show on the campus of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J.
Mike Palladino secured the every-day center field and lead-off batter job in his second season with the Bobcats in 2014. For the year, Palladino is hitting .234 (36-148) with 11 doubles, 22 runs scored, 13 RBI and 14 walks, He ranks third in the Bobcats line-up in extra-base hits with 13 on the strength of 11 doubles, one triple and one home run. He also ranks third in runs scored, and third in on-base percentage (.351). Palladino also hit a team-best .397 (25-63) when leading off an inning. In 20 MAAC games, Palladino hit .257 (18-70) with a team-high eight doubles, while also totaling 13 runs scored and eight RBI.
