Every Monday, hundreds of Kellenberg Memorial students meet with their Sodality groups from 3:00 to 3:30. The Marian Sodality was reintroduced by Bl. William Joseph Chaminade following the French Revolution as a means by which society could be re-Christianized through an experience of faith and personal relationships among the Christian community. At Kellenberg Memorial, Sodality is a cornerstone of the Apostolic life for the majority of the student body.
To mark the start of Sodality meetings for the 2017-2018 school year, all sophomore, junior, and senior sodality groups gathered for the Sodality Opening Prayer Service which marked not only the start of Sodality for the school year but also the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Society of Mary on October 2, 1817. Following the prayer service, students remained in the Maria Regina Chapel where the Blessed Sacrament was exposed for the duration of the afternoon’s prayer service.
