Mr. Heitner’s Advanced Computer students gathered in the St. Carlo Acutis Tech Center to watch a detailed presentation by St. John’s Law School professor Catherine Quinn. Ms. Quinn is a professor at St. John’s Law School, but she additionally serves as Director of Career Services.
This presentation guided the seniors through creating a thorough and polished resume, a very beneficial skill they will need in their future endeavors.
Quinn gave examples of weaknesses in resumes and different ways to improve a resume in order to make it more appealing to potential employers. She gave tips and suggestions on how to stay on the right track and become successful in your career path. This ability could open up a world of opportunity for enthusiastic students applying for jobs.
Presentations such as this one are an excellent way to learn how to be an exceptional employee.
This was Quinn’s first time conducting this workshop, and she states that she’s excited to return next year to help even more Kellenberg students with their resumes for the future.
The academic programs at Kellenberg value opportunities for students to interact with professionals in various fields. Presentations like Ms.Quinn’s are rewarding additions to the classroom experience.
Ms. Quinn also happens to be the sister of Mrs. Zabala, a Latin teacher for the Latin School.
