Led by Nora Bennett’s second place finish, the Lady Firebird girls cross country team finished an impressive second place in the team standings at the Briarwood Invitational in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania powerhouse Central Bucks East was the only team in the seventeen interstate field that was between the Firebirds and first place. Julia Bryant was 10th and Maureen Lewin also finished inside the top twenty.
