Lewin & Bryant Conquer Connecticut "Elite Distance Classic"

As the sole representatives of the state of New York in the “Connecticut Distance Classic” held at Trinity College on a misty Friday April night, a quartet of Kellenberg runners didn’t disappoint! Sophomore Maureen Lewin and junior Julia Bryant finished 1-2 in the 800 meters in times of 2:19.18, and 2:20.12 respectively. The pair upended higher seeded runners from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. Teammates Maya Richardson and Ceara Conroy ran to seasonal bests, a good omen the week before their participation as the only CHSAA member female team to qualify for the Penn Relays 3200 meter relay.
