This past weekend the Boys Varsity Track team was honorably invited to the Nor’Easter at The TRACK in Boston sponsored by New Balance.
Damion Gordon Jr. won the 55-meter dash in a time of an astounding 6.48 seconds, setting a new personal best and lowering his own school record.
The relay team of Zach Paggi, Amir Ajenishe, Daniel Meenan, and Aidan Hopkins battled to a second-place finish in the distance medley relay and moved into the number two ranking in the United States.
Sean Hyland ‘03, who works for New Balance and was at the meet, was proud to witness the extraordinary relay race.
Aidan Hopkins achieved a four minute fifteen second mile. The fastest mile split in school history.
Coach Moncada said, “Kellenberg Track has a long and successful tradition. These young men have added to it because they work everyday, and they know to trust the process.”
