LK 11:29-32

In the gospel for February 17, 2016 the people gathering ask Jesus for a sign not realizing the signs that they have already been given. Jesus refers to them as an evil generation because they don’t realize what’s right in front of them. When Jonah spoke to the Ninevites they repented for their sins, but the Jews are in Jesus’ presence, who is even greater then Jonah, and yet they still refuse to change their ways. Jesus is the greatest sign we could ever ask for, but because he came from lowly means he was seen as less than.
