On Thursday, members of the Business & Finance Club traveled to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for a boot camp in preparation for the High School Fed Challenge in March. The students were given a presentation on Introduction to Monetary Policy and worked on a group activity using economic data for case study analysis.
The group was then treated to lunch and a networking session with Mr. John Bender, the CEO of Allied World Reinsurance Company and a co-founder of St. Baldrick’s. Mr. Bender (a graduate of St. Agnes) spoke to the students about starting his business, how it has grown and using his success to start an amazingly profitable and influential foundation.
