Advent Prayer Reflection by Jamie Alter '18

MT 7:21, 24-27
     Advent is a time to be preparing yourself for Jesus’ birth and to become more centered with God and your loved ones. We are to be preparing ourselves for the birth of our savior, the one who will unlock the gates of heaven, the king of the Jews, and God’s only son. Jesus opens up the gates to let in a nation that is just. In this Gospel reading, it is demonstrated that those who do the will of his father will go to heaven. During this Advent season, we must praise Jesus and remember all that he did for us, and we must praise the Lord for sending his son, our savior.
