IS 63:16B-17, 19B; 64:2-7
This is a plea from the Prophet Isaiah. Isaiah asks God several questions and begs for him to reveal himself to the people of the world because they have lost their way. The hearts of mankind have hardened and wandered from God. Isaiah, aware of the immense power God has and also aware problems of sin that arise from this neglect of God, cries out to him in hope of a salvation. He explains that the people of the world who now are overcome by sin need this salvation now more than ever. He knows that God has the power to help because we are the clay and God is the potter. This call for help is later answered with the coming of Christ.
