Advent Prayer Reflection by Matthew Comeau '18

LK 1:26-38
     This Gospel describes the moment when the Angel Gabriel was sent to Mary. At first, she was greatly confused, especially when the Angel told her that she would have the son of Christ. This troubled her, since she was a virgin, but the Angel reassured her that the Holy Spirit would descend upon her. The Angel reassured her by telling her that her sister Elizabeth, who was infertile and elder, was pregnant with a son as well. At the end of the Gospel, Mary accepts God’s will to have his son. Through Jesus, we are all called to do God’s will and to carry out His mission.
