In November, the Business and Finance Club began a partnership with the Christus Vivit Community House. Sister Marie Mackey asked the students to produce a marketing campaign to create ways to promote and raise awareness about Christus Vivit by incorporating Pope Francis’ message at World Youth Day.
Three weeks later the students presented their campaigns to Sister Marie. The presentations were fantastic and Sister Marie was excited to begin implementing many of the ideas.
This past Friday, March 18th, 10 of the students who were part of the marketing campaign visited the Christus Vivit Community in Jamaica, Queens for a day of service to see what the community has implemented from the students marketing ideas. The day was centered around St. Joseph the Worker, service, and knowing that God loves each and every one of us. The students helped with landscaping and organizing storage and the pantry.
It was a beautiful and rewarding day for all who attended! Special thanks to Sister Marie and Mrs. Mooney for all their help and support throughout the day!
