Whether they have a volleyball in their hands or a pen/stylus, the Kellenberg varsity volleyball team continues to excel in both areas after seizing another NSCHSGAA league title AND just recently being named recipients of the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the eighth consecutive year! The 2021 squad posted an undefeated league record to go along with a sensational 95.6% cumulative average for the 2021-2022 school year.
On July 7th, AVCA Awards Director Alice Rogers notified Coach von Schoenermarck about this achievement, explaining, “This award honors teams who have matched their dedication to the sport of volleyball with excellence in the classroom.” Representing the 2022 team were the following seventeen players: Alicia Carraciolo, Olivia Carmody, Nora Casey, Ashley Dellolio, Ava DiScala, Alexandra Eakin, Riley Gildea, Hayley Judge, Jamie Judge, Erin Kwiatkowski, Caitlin Monaghan, Megan Monaghan, Teresa Moulder, Chloe Rachello, Nadia Sapano, Samantha Vitale, and Sophia Zakovic.
