This past Wednesday, May 24, the entire student body of Kellenberg Memorial, along with students from St. Martin De Porres Marianist School, parents, and alumni gathered together to celebrate the annual May Crowning Prayer Service. Junior Colleen Wing remarked that “The May Crowning is a lovely way to celebrate Our Mother Mary, and all of the amazing sacrifices she made for her son Jesus Christ.”
Father Thomas Cardone S.M. lead a beautiful prayer service with words of inspiration for all those who attended. With the help of the Floral Park Fire Department, Miss Korzekwinski, assistant principal for the Latin School, along with Father Tom, were able to journey up to the statue of Mary at the entrance of the school to crown Mary. This beautiful prayer service is a great way to pause our lives and take focus on what really matters, our faith.
