Today on June 7th, the annual locker clean-out served as a goodbye to the 2023 academic school year.
Following our special locker clean-out schedule, students were sent out at 2:21 PM to their lockers to clean them of everything inside.
Because of Kellenberg’s digital schooling, students here have less material clutter than in the past. Textbooks and notebooks aren’t something Kellenberg students would need to worry about lugging home today.
However, unless a student has absolutely no personal possessions stored at school, sifting through the years’ clutter could be more than just a chore, but a walk down memory lane. From old tests and quizzes, to things stored in a locker by a friend, locker clean up can let students revisit and appreciate their year before entering a brand new one.
Mr. McCutcheon would agree that this yearly ceremony is a great way to get rid of the old and bring in the new. He considers locker clean up “a clean break from the last year as students transition from summer and prepare for a new start.”
With student-spaces cleared and comprehensive exams beginning tomorrow students should be nothing but organized and excited for the end of the school year! Students will return tomorrow at the regular times for their Religion Comprehensive Exam.
